The CBD Group is dedicated to keeping your details private.  We have adopted a corporate wide Privacy Policy that guides how we collect, store and use the information you provide us with. The CBD Group gathers personal information from you when you register for a customer account or a trade account with any of our stores.  Any information that we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secure.  We do not pass on, sell or swap any of your personal details with anyone.  We use this information to identify your orders, provide you with our monthly newsletter (if applicable) and to personalise your shopping experience with us.


When you place an order you will be asked for the following personal information: your name, e-mail address, billing address and delivery address, and phone numbers, so that we can process your order. We may share this information and only that information which is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing of your order. For example, the financial institution that issued your credit card, or the delivery service provider.


The CBD Group ensures that information you share with us is managed in accordance with relevant Australian privacy law. Changes to your contact, invoice and delivery details can be made using the account section. Or if you would like us to update your details, please notify us by email to mark@thecbdstore.com.au and we will update stored information, as soon as possible.

We do not release personal information or "data lists" for the purpose of commercial sale.

Our Web server may collect only the domain names and names of the referring website (not the email addresses of visitors). We may use this information to help us improve the operational performance and informational content of our website.

If you apply for a Trade Account online or provide personal information to The CBD Group by any means, we may use this information to provide specific targeted marketing campaigns and information about The CBD Group and declared partner products.

DATA RETENTION TIME

 

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for.

Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Owner and the User shall be retained until such contract has been fully performed.  Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be retained as long as needed to fulfil such purposes. Users may find specific information regarding the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner within the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner.  The Owner may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. Furthermore, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.

Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.
